What laser treatment do you use?
The Alma Harmony ClearLift Pro. A Q-switched Nd:YAG laser. We were the first in B.C. to attain this newest upgrade to the trusted Harmony platform.
How does the Alma Harmony ClearLift Pro treat tattoos?
The Alma Harmony Clearlift Pro works by emitting and delivering very short, high-intensity, and focused light pulses directly to the pigments in the ink. This process generates energy, which is absorbed by the ink pigment. As this energy is absorbed, the ink is effectively “shattered” into microscopic fragments. Your body recognises those fragments as waste and safely and naturally eliminates them through lymphatic processes. You will notice and gradual fading of your tattoos, as the treated pigment is shattered and naturally expelled from your body.
How does treatment feel?
By targeting only the ink/pigment, your risk of scarring, discoloured skin, and other complications is also minimised. Because it can be a little painful, we will safely apply adequate numbing to the area being treated.
How long does it take to remove my tattoo?
The answer to this question depends on several factors, including the size, colour, and age of your tattoo. Some tattoos are simply more stubborn and may take longer to fade than others. The beauty of the Alma Harmony ClearLift is that we can tailor settings and customise treatment to features like the colour of your tattoo. By programming the right wavelength and energy for darker or brighter inks, we can generally achieve better and faster results than other procedures that do not offer such a high degree of customisation/custom settings. In general, complete fading or removal of your tattoo typically requires between four and 12 treatment sessions, spaced four to eight weeks apart.
