What is Alma TED?
Alma TED® (TransEpidermal Delivery) is an innovative method of hair regeneration. It uses acoustic sound waves and air pressure to drive a specialized growth factor serum deep into the scalp. . It enhances blood flow, stimulates dormant follicles, and increases nutrient delivery, resulting in thicker, stronger hair without downtime or pain.
How does Alma TED work?
Alma TED® uses a special device that emits low-frequency sound waves to create microscopic channels in the stratum corneum, the outermost layer of the scalp. Air pressure is also used to drive the powerful TED®+ Hair Care Formula through these channels and deep into the lower layer of the skin known as the dermis. This formulation of powerhouse nutrients, growth factors, and peptides can reach the hair follicles. This unique process stimulates the follicles and enhances blood flow to improve scalp health and encourage the growth of thick, strong, healthy hair.
What is treatment like?
One of our certified team members uses the handheld Alma TED® device to apply acoustic/sound waves and air pressureto “prime” the scalp. The TED®+ Hair Care Formula* is then applied to those areas of your scalp that are thinning and experiencing hair loss. Most of our patients describe this treatment as feeling like a sensation of warmth – similar to a relaxing scalp massage! An additional layer of serum may be applied for optimal results. The whole process can be completed in just 20 to 30 minutes.

What can I expect from treatment afterwards?
Since Alma TED® is very gentle, you can return to work and resume other activities immediately after the treatment. However, we ask that you avoid washing your hair or applying any hair products for at least 24 hours following the procedure. While results can vary based on several factors, it is generally recommended to undergo a series of at least four sessions spaced four weeks apart. To achieve the best and most sustained results, you may need maintenance treatments every six to twelve months.
Many patients first notice a significant reduction in daily hair shedding, which indicates that the treatment is effective. They often see new “baby hairs” emerging, and their hair appears thicker. Within approximately three months, you may notice improved scalp coverage and increased hair density. Full results are typically observed within six to twelve months.
